How it all started…..
From humble beginnings in the beauty industry at Columbus Technical College in 1999, Dana Richardson blazed a trail to become a licensed Master Cosmetologist in 2001. With an entrepreneurial spirit, she partnered up and opened Synergy Hair & Nail Salon in 2006, setting the industry on fire with her skills and talent. However, as with many partnerships, the business dissolved in 2010, but that didn't deter Dana. Instead, she emerged stronger and more determined, opening a new salon as a sole proprietor later that year.
The vision…..
Dana's new salon was more than just a business venture; it was a labor of love, named after her late son, Mikey. As she traveled the country, expanding her brand and dealing with her grief, Dana's vision for her brand evolved. In 2016, she returned to Columbus, GA, and took a hiatus from the salon business to focus on rebranding, healing, and restructuring her vision.
Finally, in October 2017, Dana's vision came to fruition as she launched D. Rich Styles Boutique and Salon, LLC. But this wasn't just any salon; Dana knew she wanted to introduce something entirely different this time. With all the transitions she had endured in life, her business goals had to evolve too.
Growing the brand….
Since then, D. Rich Styles has achieved massive success, earning Dana the coveted Stylist of the Year award and D. Rich Styles being named Salon of the Year at the 2022 Horace Empowerments Beauty Honor Awards show in Columbus, GA. D. Rich Styles has also birthed The Rich Girl Collection, RG Beauty Consultants, and the "I'm a Rich Girl" movement, all reflecting Dana's passion for promoting self-love and beauty within her brand and throughout the community.
Dana represents the tenacity of a woman with a God-given vision and purpose. Her movement is bold, and her goals are strong. This is just the beginning for D. Rich Enterprises, and with Dana's unwavering commitment to excellence, the future is undoubtedly bright.
